Little baby dragon

We've received a few requests on the remake of baby Josh's dragon cake in the past month.
Here's what we came up with :)

We made this one for baby Brighton with a little tweak from the original design

And another one for baby Barafael with a matching set of baby hampers :)

One special week in October

I was lucky to be joining in Sharon Wee's classes held by Heavenly Sweet in Jakarta last month.

The first class that I took was the double barrel ruffle. It was a 2 day course. I love the simple yet sophisticated design of the cake. The bottom tier was dressed with full ruffles that imitates the gentle flow of a wedding gown, while the top tier was a simple clean cut with touches of sugar beads and of course the lovely peonies and ranunculus that sits on top of it! :)

The second class was the 3D Owl Cake. A perfect introduction to cake carving and airbrushing to achieve a realistic end result.

The third class was the Topsy Turvy Mermaid cake. The three-tiered cake was a combination of soft sand, blue ocean, cute sea creatures and the little mermaid sitting on top of it. We just can't help thinking about the warm summer even though the rainy season has started to come in this month :)

The fourth class was The Elephant & Bunny Playtime. For those of you who might be wondering, the elephant and the bunny is made out of cake. The cupcakes is made out of dummy, but can be easily replaced with a cake. Though it needs complex structuring in the making, but needless to say.. it was all worth it in the end :)

Sharon is a lovely young woman with a huge talent and she is a very patient teacher. And the friends that i met at the class, they have become like a family. Thank you for coming and sharing your experience Sharon. And thank you to Heavenly Sweet for organizing the event so nicely and well-planned :)
